FyreJacket® Aerospace is a thickwall braided fiberglass sleeving coated with specially compounded Silicone rubber. FyreJacket is intended to slide on easily over a variety of hoses and expand readily to go over fittings and couplings. The specially formulated Silicone rubber coating has excellent shedding properties.
FyreJacket® is used to protect hoses and hose assemblies, tubing, piping, and cables from exposure up to +260°C (+500°F) and from molten splash and welding sparks.
Aerospace grade FyreJacket will withstand short term flame exposure to +1093°C (+2000°F) when installed on a hose assembly qualified to SAE Aerospace Standard 1055*. Aerospace FyreJacket is packaged in random lengths, with minimum lengths no shorter than 15 feet.
